Andree Guillory

Role at RHS:
Though I've worn a few hats since joining RHS in June of 2015, I've settled into my dream position as Principal Stager (??). I am responsible for making homes look their very best for the market, being sure to take into account not only each homes unique needs and personal style, but to present a consistent product RHS can stand behind.

Attraction to staging:

On some level, I've been a home stager for as long as I can recall. I have my mother to thank for always creating a home that was inviting, organized, intentional, and that had great flow. So, early on, I took an interest in interior spaces, always imagining how they could be visually or spatially improved. Eventually, I became comfortable enough to share my opinions on the matter (often unsolicited!), and folks somehow trusted my untrained feedback. It's by sheer luck that I met Kristin (best boss in the Universe), and I couldn't imagine working for anyone else!

DREAM SPACE:

My dream space will have a sunken living room, this much is certain. It's difficult to hone in on one look. I'm constantly exploring beautiful images and love a great many styles! Everything from ultra minimal modern to nesty ecclectic. Suffice it to say, it would more than likely be a modestly sized, original space fit for some socializing, probably dancing, and be able to house my favorite treasures and people.

Mantra:

Let yourself be drawn to the stronger pull of that which you truly love

Houston:

I was born and raised here, and though I tried on Austin for a few years, I've always felt like this is home. We have so much to be proud of in this city. Thriving art and music communities, diversity for days, more amazing food than one person would ever have time to sample, and all the freeways and mosquitos you can handle! But the thing I probably love the most is that infectious Houstonian pride.

What is your role at RHS?

I’m usually the first person that prospective clients have with RHS, so I make sure everyone feels welcomed and comfortable with our services and what we provide.

My job is to explain to Realtors, homeowners and investors of the benefits staging has to offer and why staging is quickly becoming an absolute necessity in the era of online home shopping.

Another big role I have is being Kristin’s husband and I try to be a rock for her to lean on whenever she needs it.

What attracted you to home staging?

Decorating has never been my strong suit, but Kristin says I have good taste so I do have that going for me, which is nice.

I have worked in a few different fields related to real estate in and around Houston, and after Kristin founded RHS, we started talking about bringing me on once the demand for services met a certain threshold.

We love having a family business that helps others and invigorates the local economy.

Describe your dream space.

My dream space would be a dark, sweaty mixture of CBGB, the famous New York City Bowery music venue and re-purposed Urban warehouse with exposed brick and ductwork with beautiful, old well-worn wood.

What is your personal Mantra?

Time, energy and spirit are wasted when you worry about things that are out of your control.

What do you love most about Houston?

Houston has EVERYTHING! Food, drink, Art, entertainment, if you look hard enough you can find it!

Okay, Houston doesn’t have mountains or huge forests, but we have Memorial Park and towering Beltway 8 interchanges!

What is your role at RHS?

I am the Owner and Principal Stager at Reveal Home Staging. I provide staging consultations, manage the daily operations of the business, and handle business development and future growth opportunities.

What attracted you to home staging?

My background in Fine Arts coupled with a love for design came together to create Reveal Home Staging. I love helping people create opportunities: every day I have the chance to help home owners manage their most valuable investment, their homes, while also helping my employees find meaningful and engaging careers.

Describe your dream space.

A lakeside home tucked away in the mountains, with large sliding glass doors that open to the outdoors. A bit luxe with Bohemian chic underpinnings, I would fill the home with large scale minimal artwork and soft, plush fabrics.

What is your personal Mantra?

“The secret is to follow the advice the masters give you in their works while doing something different from them.” (Edgar Degas)

What do you love most about Houston?

Oh, so many things! A vibrant arts and culture scene, fabulous food, and green spaces galore!
